Thanksgiving 2012

We decided to be unconventional for Thanksgiving this year.  Tim and I took Ladybug and Cade to Luby's and then to see the Tree Lighting on Post Oak in the Galleria.  We all had a wonderful time and it was so stress free!
Waiting for the fireworks to start
Cade was a good sport in the cold
 Bugs favorite!
 Me and Cade, duty calls!
 Checking out the fireworks

There was a beautiful display of lights by the office buildings on Post Oak, Bug liked it
This pic is courtesy of our "Ladybug Photography!"  She loves taking pics, doesn't do to bad.  You just have to get used to the angle and the way it accents the hips!

Halloween 2012 ~ Butterfly Princess

Ladybug was a Butterfly Princess this year!  Bug has been a bit on the shy side lately so we made it to about 4-5 houses and then she decided it was time to go home.  What can ya do?

Bug was off to a good start!

Back at home a short time later
Grandma tried to calm her nerves by letting her rehearse, didn't work...

Slept through Bugs entire Halloween outing and then some!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

Every year (2011, 20102009) we go to the pumpkin patch at the church on Westheimer after enjoying a lunch at Chuy's.  This year our schedule didn't allow us to go earlier in the month as usual so we hit the patch the weekend before Halloween...Only a handful of pumpkins were left for us to pick from.
Cade all ready to pick pumpkins
Ladybug doing exactly what the signs say not to...sitting on a pumpkin
The pumpkins that were left were not your normal shapes...
Yep, that is the one!  It has character!
It was easier for her to let Dad carry it to the car
So proud of her pick!

Cade Ryan Marshman

On Friday, October 5th Cade Ryan Marshman came into our world at 12:53pm weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz and measuring 22 inches long.  He is a healthy and happy baby boy.
Me and Ladybug getting checked in at the hospital.
Cade was measuring big so we opted for a scheduled c-section.
Bug loves to take pics, she isn't too bad at it!
There he is!!  Yes, Tim did come into the OR with me and he didn't pass out! It was a close one though.
Can ya tell someone was worked up?  Tim fogged up the camera lens waiting on the big guy!
 Stats...
 Cade Ryan
After a short stay in recovery they brought him in, we got to spend about 5 minutes with him then they took him to the nursery to watch his breathing.  All ended well, and I am glad they were monitoring him but I didn't get to see him for 4 more hours!!
 Flik got Bug some surprises!
 Auntie Ann and Ladybug
Bug has been calling Cade, Flik, for months now.  That is what she named him, of course it came from her favorite movie...A Bug's Life...the main character is Flik (below on the right)
Everyone has left and they finally bring in Cade...
Blue eyes for now...
Auntie Ann and soon to be Uncle Jonathan with Flik

Got a half of a smile!
All in all Ladybug is very proud of her brother.  She is "adjusting", which has been interesting for us but she has been a fantastic Big Sister so far.
