Student for a Day!

Last Monday we went to visit Aunt Leslie at school!  Bug was so excited to go to "school".  Leslie teaches first grade and the kids were absolutely amazing!
Checking things out while the kids were at recess
Aunt Leslie labeled her desk and gave Bug her very own pencil case
The Friday before we came the kids caught 5 baby frogs, Bug thought that was really neat
Bug playing with the magnetic shapes!
 Time to draw!
 Practiced cutting too!
Bug got her own library bag and books and all kinds of fun school stuff!
When the kiddos came in from recess they had caught a giant frog and at least 6 crickets along with a few ladybugs!!
Saying goodbye and thank you to everyone!

Bug had the greatest time!!  Thanks Leslie for having us!!

Mother's Day 2012

For Mother's Day this year we headed to Galveston to enjoy the day!  We had the greatest time!!
Hanging out on the pier...
 Candy Store Time!!
Tim wised up with time and got 2 cherry phosphates as 1 is just never enough :)
Bug loved seeing the cruise ship!  It was huge!!
Okay, you can tell us what bad parents we are, we have never taken Ladybug to the beach.  Honestly, working down at UTMB when I started nursing and seeing all the infections and nastiness that is in that water just disgusts me.  So my child has never been to the beach.  I gave in this time, just to let her get her feet wet.  Now she asks..."can we go to a beach that has clean water?"  Guess we have to find one.
I told her not to get her shorts wet so she improvised...

Adalyn's 3rd Birthday!

Adalyn, Ladybug's ballerina buddy, turned 3!!  She had a wonderful Garden Party which all the kiddos loved!
Planting her flower in the garden...
Zack stylin' in one of the decorations
 Swinging with Austin
 Birthday Girl!
 Carrie and Baby Ella
What a cutie!! So happy too!
 Enjoying cookies
Sporting one of the party favors :)

Dentist 2012

Ladybug had a blast at the dentist again!!  Such a trooper!

Ladybug, Butterflies and Gardens

Quite a few months ago we got a "grow your own butterfly" deal for Ladybug.  They shipped us the larvae, we watched them turn into caterpillars and eventually into butterflies!  She loved it!
Walter wanted to be part of everything too!
They just didn't want to come out!
This year we planted a garden for the Ladybug, we check it twice a day, religiously!  We have squash, zucchini, honeydew, watermelon and several strawberry plants!
Checking to see if it is ready!
 Ladybug's first zucchini!
Something keeps getting out strawberries just as they are turning red, we think it is a frog :)
