Save the Turtle!!

A few weeks ago we were driving home down 518 and spotted a turtle in the road trying to make it up the curb.  Of course we had to stop and rescue!!  Bug had the best time feeding him lettuce.

 He also had a boo-boo, we also realized he wasn't a box turtle as originally thought...we had a snapping turtle on our hands!

Livestock Show 2012

Sunday morning we made our annual trip to the Houston Livestock Show.  Ladybug was sooo excited to go.  When you asked her what she was going to see she would name all the animals and then say they have a rhinoceros too!!  It was such a beautiful day!  Glad we packed the sunscreen for her!!

 We rode the bus from Reed Road, her first time on a bus, she couldn't stop smiling!!  We couldn't either as it was free!!!  Pays to be early!!

 Bug has never liked Corn Dog's but for some reason she loved the one right out of the deep fryer!  She ate the entire thing!!

 We walked nearly the entire carnival ground in search of these.  Tim read a review on them and it lived up to all that was said with a nice price tag of $16.95!!!  For Carni Food!!  Really!!!  He wants to go back for another one!!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

It has been a while since I posted so a little catch up...

Grammy had a birthday at the end of February so Ladybug and I made a cake for her :)

When Bug is away, her and Grammy will play :)  This is how Bug returned from an overnight with Grammy, she just loves to put Grammy's make-up on.

Grammy visited Dylan's candy store and found all the old school candy for Bug...

Ballet Happenings

They have been working hard at Ballet for the upcoming recital...in June!!  I guess it will be here before we know it!  Here is a little sample of the routine.

Science Center

Ladybug loves "Sid the Science Kid" on PBS.  Well, thanks to Sid, Bug has been dying to go to the "Science Center".  Tim took a few days off of work to join us.  She had a great time, as long as the butterflies didn't get too close and as for the museum, the dinosaurs where a hit!

26.2 ~ 2012

On Sunday, Leroy ran his 3rd Marathon!!

26.2 miles!! 

We made our signs and headed out to cheer him on.  Ladybug was a bit harder to keep entertained this year but we made it through our own 26.2 miles :)

 After stopping for breakfast we headed to Memorial Park to wait for Leroy at Mile 21

Bug switched her sign as it was later in the day and the clock was ticking

 This guy made me laugh, he was texting and talking on his phone while running...he had to be well into his 70's :)

We had been waiting a while for Leroy when Bug turned to Tim and I and said "I have to go potty".  Go figure right?  So we told her Leroy was almost there then we would take her to potty.  She said, "okay".  She turned to us a few moments later and said..."I pooped."  Nice Bug...we will forever remember mile 21. 

Here comes Leroy!

 After Leroy passed Bug got upset that she didn't give him his "Gu", so Tim picked her up and started running to catch him.  He caught up with him but Bug botched the hand off and dropped it :) 

She got a kick out of it though!

 The weather was gorgeous near finish time but Bug was done.  The comment of the day was "Can we go do something else?"

 Big Bird ran the race too!
