Vegas!!

Tim and I took our first trip since before the Bug was born!! Leroy and Grandma moved into our house this past Saturday to care for Bug, Anna and Walter so Tim and I could get away to Las Vegas!! Tim attended a conference for work so we just extended the trip to include a little vacation!! A couple of my favorite gal pals came along to keep me company while Tim was at the conference.

As always we drank and ate WAY TO MUCH!! We enjoyed great friends and loved Aria where we stayed. We all had a grand time and already have the next getaway in mind. We didn't hit it big so I will be returning to work next week and Tim tomorrow as planned. (unless the retirement plan comes early...aka lotto)

Bug did wonderful with Leroy and Grandma. We checked in once a day and it is just too funny to have a conversation with her over the phone. On one call I asked what she was doing and she told me "cookin' macaroni", I asked if it was good and she told me it was "all gone", I then asked where Leroy and Grandma were and she told me "all gone too". I cracked up. Below are a few videos and pics. Looks like Bug had her share of homemade chocolate ice cream. They also built a gingerbread house...she liked the icing :) That's my Bug!!

Where Did May Go??

Holy Cow!!! What in the world happened to the month of May?! This month was crazy busy!!
Here is a bit of our May happenings that had photo ops...

Back to the Zoo with the Wisbrocks. The Houston Zoo opens an hour early the first Saturday of each month for members. If you are a member you have to take advantage of this!!! We got to see the animals in a entirely different way! They were all so active!!

The lions playing...looked like fighting but it was awesome!! One even jumped into the water to get a fish!

Easter 2011

Happy Easter!! One week late :) We had a great Easter! We took Ladybug to church and she did wonderful! She sat with us and pointed at Jesus in all the stained glass windows. At one point she was removed...it was pretty funny at the time although Tim didn't think so. During the blessing of the Eucharist they ring bells. Well, this caught Bugs attention immediately and she said "Jesus Talkin'!" really loudly and with much excitement. She disappeared very quickly after that as her voice echoed through the cathedral. I thought it was hilarious! Who would have come up with ringing bells being the voice of Jesus :)

After church we went and had brunch at Leroy and Grandma's.

After dinner we tied a napkin around Bug's head. It was too funny she looked like a little polish girl. So Jonathan danced the polka with her while we sang "Who Stole the Kishka". You gotta be Polish to understand :)

If you haven't heard yet, Ladybug's favorite place is the Zoo. Leroy and Grandma came with us the last time. I think Bug tired them out :)

Story time. We wanted to feed the Giraffes again so we got a tray of lettuce for Leroy and Grandma and then our own so Bug could do it twice. On Leroy and Grandma's shift we hear the guy behind us say "That giraffe just ate that kids arm!" He would be talking about our child. We look up to see Bug's entire arm in the giraffes mouth. No harm done, she thought it was hilarious.

She is in love with the carousel again. It is an on again, off again relationship.

Boys & Bug of Summer

I can't believe I forgot to post this!! It's that time again! The boys of summer are back! Tim and Stephen have been taking the kiddos and I was able to join them a few weeks back. Things have changed a bit over the past two years on how we roll...check it out here and here.
One thing is for sure. Drayton still can't fill the stadium. We got the cheap seat package and we definitely got the cheapest seats in the joint!! Top row!! Bug insisted on climbing up the entire flight of steps by herself. That took forever!
