Superbowl Weekend

Superbowl weekend was low key but our Ladybug is always up to something! Here are a few shots from Bugs adventures...

It was cold and we promised the pups we would go for a walk so we had to bundle up the Bug. Haven't found gloves her size so we improvized.

26.2 ~ 2011

Leroy did it again! He ran the Chevron Houston Marathon for the second time! 26.2 miles in the classic Houston humidity! The temp was in the 60's with 50-70% chance of rain, and yep, it rained...nothing like last year.

Leroy did great! The official time was 5:04:43!!

We had quite the challenge with Bug this year! Last year she hung out in her stroller most of the time. This year was like wrestling an alligator all day! She did good though under the circumstances...watching runners go by all day isn't the ideal entertainment for a 21 mth old. We wouldn't miss it though!

Bug was tired, she couldn't figure out why we were at Auntie Ann's at 7:40 in the morning. Auntie Ann sure doesn't get up that early on Sundays!

We went and had breakfast then headed to Memorial Park to see Leroy again. Bug entertained herself with singing and dancing till he came by.

Leroy was running low on water so we refilled him and Bug got a kiss! Mile 21.

We headed to the finish at the GRB and ended up across from Grandma and Aunt Leslie and Mr. Callaghan!

Ladybug got a hold of Leroy's medal and took off running. At least she understood the concept!

Mr. Callaghan and Leroy...Mr. Callaghan was to run the 2012 marathon but is thinking maybe 2013 :)

The First Step...

Everybody knows Ladybug LOVES Elmo. Well, she also loves Elmo's fish, Dorothy. When we look at fish she says, "Fish, Dorothy!" So we set out this weekend to buy her a Dorothy. Well, as we looked at the cute little goldfish, I started having flashbacks of my 30 gallon fish tank nightmare I had while I was at Tech. So, we downgraded Bug to a Betta. If she stays interested in it for longer than a week, we will upgrade, but for now it will due.

Happy New Year!! Tim and I got together with Auntie Ann and Jonathan to celebrate New Years Eve at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. We had a great time!! Thanks Grammy for watching the Ladybug and letting us sleep in!!
